Keath, Roger Wayne

BENTON HARBOR -- Roger Wayne Keath, 51, of Benton Harbor passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday, May 21, 2004.
A service celebrating his life will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 27, at Fairplain Chapel, Florin Funeral Service, Benton Harbor, with the Rev. James O. Childs officiating. Visitation will take place on Thursday beginning at 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial with military rites will take place at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Sodus. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

Mr. Keath was born on May 6, 1953, in Benton Harbor. He proudly served his country as a U.S. Marine after graduating from high school. Mr. Keath resided for a time in California and Kansas City, Kan., where he worked as a salesman for Pittsburgh Paints, before returning to the Benton Harbor area. He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
His is survived by his daughter, Chrystal (Josh) Scott of Benton Harbor; his son, Ryan Keath of Benton Harbor; his mother and stepfather, Eunice and Herman Van Horn of Benton Harbor; his brother, Phillip A.D. Keath of Coloma; three sisters -- Dianna (Robert) Van Horn of Benton Harbor, Pam Seeweld of Muskegon, Mich., and Patricia (Elmer) Flener of Berrien Springs; his grandchildren -- Mikayela Scott and Madison Scott, both of Benton Harbor; his close friends, David and Linda Haase; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dorris A.D. Keath, in 1996.
