Mitchell, Joseph
Wednesday, 26 December 1877; Page 4, Column 4: MITCHELL -- Joseph Mitchell, for 27 years employed by the Central Road, and Superintendent of Mason Work on the line, died at his residence, in this city, on Sunday morning last, aged about 58 years. He was universally esteemed by all the men on the road and all who knew him. He leaves a wife and five children; copy of obituary sent from Dorothy Mitchell Jones; e-mail 19 Apr 2007.
He was born 23 Jan 1820 in VT, son of Newcomb Mitchell and Polly Howe Mitchell.

Morrow, Mr. W. T.
Mr. W. T. Morrow died at his residence in Lincoln township on the 20th inst.. in the
seventy fourth year of his age. He was a native of Mendham, N.J. where he lived until 1861,
when he came to Michigan with his family. He had been a member of the Methodist Episcopal
Church for fifty-three years. The cause of death was cancer, with which he had been afflicted for the
last twelve years, at times suffering greatly. He was buried at Stevensville, on the 21st last.
